SHRINK FIT TOOL HOLDERS – IDEAL FOR HIGH-SPEED MACHINING
A shrink fit tool holder is commonly used in high-speed machining (HSM) applications. Reason being is that it is designed to securely hold cutting tools such as end mills, drills, or reamers in place during HSM operations. The shrinking process consists of two main components:
- Shrink Fit Tool Holders: The tool holder body is made of H13 tool steel, and it is designed to hold the cutting tool securely and provide stability during machining.
- Shrink Fit Machines or Units: The heating coil on the shrink fit machine heats the shrink fit holder so the ID bore can expand allowing the cutter shank to be inserted into the ID bore of the holder.
